Mind in the Making and Vroom - An Evening with Ellen Galinsky

Elen Galinsky

Mind in the Making at the Bezos Family Foundation is an unprecedented effort to share the science of children’s learning with the general public families, and professionals who work with children and their families and to translate this research into action. The overall goal of Mind in the Making and its partner Vroom is to use the knowledge from developmental research to promote engaged learning and executive function-based life skills in adults and children.

Evidence from an randomized control trial of Mind in the Making, Vroom and Circle Time Games by researchers from the University of Minnesota and Oregon State University indicate that these initiatives can improve parenting practices and executive function skills in adults and children.

Join leading authority on work-family issues Ellen Galinsky as she shares key findings from the research on children’s learning, including descriptions of seven executive function-based skills and how to promote them in everyday fun ways.

Stanford Bookstore will have copies of Ellen Galinsky's book Mind in the Making: The Seven Essential Life Skills Every Child Needs available for purchase at the event. Book signing will also take place following the event.
