Blade Runner, Star Wars, and “The Jetsons” envisioned futuristic worlds of flying cars and mile-high commutes. Now, dozens of companies are moving forward with airborne vehicles, including Airbus’ electric flying car and Uber’s helicopter taxi. Tesla is also hinting at a flying Roadster using rocket technology.

With traffic congestion increasing in America’s cities, leading to air pollution and decreased worker productivity, could a Jetson’s future be on the horizon?
