Come join us as we experiment with different recipes for making soy and cashew based vegan cheeses!
Depending on how many participants show up, and how ambitious we feel, we will be doing at least 2 or 3 different recipes, including a soy-based meltable cheddar, and some cashew based recipes by fellow vegan cheese afficionado Cashewbert.
After the cooking portion of the workshop, we'll pull out some yummy baguettes and taste some of results of our labor (we'll make sure to have at least one recipe that can be eaten right away).
Note that this workshop will use naturally occurring plant proteins. If you want to learn how to engineer yeast to produce actual cheese proteins, join us for the Real Vegan Cheese project every other Monday!
