Science Sunday: Polar Bears and Climate Change: Living on Sea Ice in a Warming World

Polar bears are an iconic symbol of climate change. These unique marine mammals exist in a remote and inhospitable Arctic where few scientists have documented their basic behaviors. While melting sea ice is expected to reduce polar bears’ ability to catch food, how they will respond is unknown.

Join Anthony Pagano to learn how advancements in electronic devices, combined with research on wild and captive polar bears, are helping scientists to understand how polar bears use sea ice and how they are responding to its decline.

Doors open for the lecture at 1:00.
