Mori Point Biodiversity Walk

moriCome help us find representatives of as many different phyla (major life forms) at Mori Point. The focus is on how many different major life forms we can find things with backbones, flowering plants, red algae, echinoderms (sea stars, urchins) etc. Think of it as trying to find as many different major branches on the tree of life, rather than counting the leaves (species). Depending on participants interest we may also look at shrub and tree diversity. No prior knowledge necessary, but something new and interesting for everyone from the casual nature lover, to the knowledgable botanist or birder. This walk is led by Dr. Carlos Davidson of San Francisco State Univ.

Please note: Park Academy classes are meant as a special perk for volunteers, members, and employees. If you do not work for the Golden Gate National Parks, are not a member, or have not volunteered with us in the past year, a donation is encouraged. Volunteer or become a member today!
