Seismic NightLife

We’re bracing ourselves for vibrations during Seismic NightLife, including on the dance floor. On the 30th anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake, we’re digging back into seismic matters and ‘80s culture. Look back at the City’s major 20th-century earthquakes through historic images, and look to the future with experts in earthquake science and preparedness. Explore the Earth through time with real fossils and other geologic specimens from the Academy’s collection and the University of California Museum of Paleontology. Round out the night with an ‘80s dance party provided by New Wave City DJs on the Piazza dance floor.
