Laying a Foundation for the Future: Investigating Waterfront Risks and Consequences
Join the Port of San Francisco and the Exploratorium’s Fisher Bay Observatory at the fifth in a series of Embarcadero seawall community meetings to learn more about the Embarcadero Seawall Program, the Waterfront Resilience Program, and the methodology behind the Port’s massive investigation officially called the Multi- Hazard Risk Assessment, or MHRA.
The Port is using lasers to measure water depth, drilling holes to better understand soil conditions, modeling earthquakes using innovative technology, and hearing from the community about what aspects of the waterfront matter most. We want to share the MHRA process and receive public feedback on the process. Please join us!
Thank you for participating in the Embarcadero Seawall Community Meeting series and welcome aboard if this is your first meeting! Together, we will create a safe, equitable, sustainable, and inspiring waterfront.
The event is ADA accessible, with access to accessible restrooms. Translation is available when requested three business days in advance at (415) 274-0400 or kirsten.southey@sfport.com.
Refreshments will be served.
