The Summer Science Symposium, hosted by a high school student, gives high school aged science enthusiasts a platform to share their interests in the life sciences and chemistry. Students are asked to prepare a 4 - 7 minute slide presentation to be given live to an audience of parents, peers, and professionals. There will be a free session offering instruction and public speaking tips to assist students with their presentation.
Professionals from different disciplines will be bolunteering their time to share their personal science journeys and to answer students' questions. A surgeon from Stanford Children's Hospital is scheduled to speak at the symposium and will share his science insights.
The symposium offers a unique opportunity for students to give a TedTalk-like presentation and hear science career insights.
If your high school age student is interested in presenting a topic, please contact Ethan, the host.
