What are the signs and symptoms of a stroke? Stroke is a disease that affects the arteries leading to and within the brain, and is the number five cause of death and a leading cause of long-term disability in the United States. Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke, which can save a life and limit severity of stroke.
