Passive Solar Architecture

The past few decades has seen a resurrection in buildings that work with their environment. Passive solar design is the most effective, healthiest and lowest-cost method to provide thermal comfort in any climate.

This class will give an introduction to the physics of passive solar design, its historical use in a variety of climates, and modern examples in a variety of settings, with a primary focus on the climates found in Northern California. Participants are welcome to bring their own projects for an interactive discussion.
