Bugs Know Best: What Insects tell us about the Health of Sausal Creek

Come hear about the Friends of Sausal Creek's volunteer aquatic insect monitoring program from program leaders Travis Peterson and Kathleen Harris. Travis will give an overview on the basics of aquatic ecology and biological monitoring, and will present data from Sausal Creek, explaining the trends in the data and the importance of such monitoring. Kathleen will have insect larvae for you to look at under a microscope. We will also discuss the future of water quality monitoring in the Sausal Creek Watershed. This event takes place at the bimonthly Friends of Sausal Creek member meeting. All welcome!
