Global Health and the Future Role of the United States

The United States is the world’s largest investor in health at a global scale—funding and implementing programs to address challenges including global health security HIV and other infectious diseases women and child health non-communicable diseases vaccine and drug development digital health and global health governance. Although Congress appropriates funding these efforts are largely carried out by departments and agencies in the executive branch and the new Administration has already signaled a dramatic reduction in foreign aid. Join Dr. Mike Merson Amie Batson Professor Lia Fernald and Dean Stefano M. Bertozzi for a discussion of the future of the country’s commitment to improving human health worldwide.
