The Marine Mammal Center

The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA, is a nonprofit marine mammal hospital and science center. The center is guided and inspired by a shared vision of a healthy ocean for marine mammals and humans alike. Their mission is to advance global ocean conservation by:

--Rescuing and humanely treating ill, injured, or orphaned marine mammals, and returning healthy ones to the wild.

--Educating and communicating to help build a sense of responsibility and connection to the marine environment and marine mammals, and inspiring action to protect the oceans.

--Conducting scientific inquiry to increase knowledge of marine mammals, their health and their environment, and helping assure their long-term survival.

Adam Ratner will discuss the work of the center and educational programs that teach their staff, those working in the environmental movement and the general public about climate change.  Adam is the Guest Experience Manager at the center.

Our potluck will start at 6:00 (please bring a dish, snack or drink to share if you are able).  The lecture will start at 6:30.  We’ll be in the Fireside room.
