Recent Human Evolution As Revealed by Neanderthals

Our closest extinct relatives are the Neanderthals. Advances in DNA sequencing technology have made possible learning the complete genome sequence from Neanderthals that have been extinct for tens of thousands of years. Green will discuss this technology and how we use the Neanderthal genome in contrasts with our own to discover what evolutionary changes have happened in our recent past.
