Autonomous Sensors for the CO2 system

Todd Martz

Over the past decade, slow but steady progress has been made in the field of autonomous chemical sensors for the CO2 system.  My group has been involved in the use of ISFET pH sensor technology in particular.  This seminar will provide an overview of the emerging data from the pH sensors developed at MBARI and Scripps.  In addition to pH sensors, we have made progress on new dissolved inorganic carbon and total alkalinity sensors.  I will also discuss the concepts behind these new technologies, now at the benchtop testing phase.
