Dia De Los Meurtos Smithsonian Latino Virtual Museum Educator Training
Hosted by the Creativity Museum, in San Francisco, California, this free training will provide information about the Smithsonian Latino Virtual Museum (LVM) and its online resources and Teacher Tool Kit.
The LVM is a transmedia hub for 2D and 3D collections, online games, simulations, and virtual worlds and programs in real-time. The LVM provides a Teacher Tool Kit that supports educators with integrating this robust collection of transmedia and virtual exhibits into their existing STEM +Arts programs.
Participants will learn how to utilize the Teacher Tool Kit, receive step-by-step training in the Day of the Dead module and explore other helpful resources in the Teacher Tool Kit, leaving with take home curriculum. The Educator Training and materials are geared towards grades 5-8.Wednesday, 10/21/15
