The Experience When Business Meets Design

Over the next ten years, businesses are expected to compete by investing in customer experience. But what is experience? Believe it or not, when you ask 10 people what it is, you’ll get 11 different answers. This is critical though because without understanding what experiences are at their very core, we cannot design them to be meaningful and competitive. So, how can companies learn to see it from the customer’s perspective to more effectively and empathetically compete?  

Author Brian Solis has a new book that explores the foundation of experience design in an era that he calls “Digital Darwinism,” the evolution of technology and society. In fact, he designed the book to be an experience, which demonstrates how to bring analog and digital products together in wonderful new ways. In his talk, Solis will share principles from his book but also take us on a fun and informative journey that helps us see how experiences can be different for a new generation of customers.
