Let's talk... Gene editing with CRISPR! - Science Conversations

As part of a discussion series on controversial science topics, I would like to present gene editing with CRISPR as a good candidate for conversation, as well as the Nobel prize. I will have a 10 minute presentation summarizing the matter, and then, open it up for discussion.  I hope for some lively discussion, lots of questions, and things to think about

What is molecular biology?  How is it useful to our everyday lives?  How can thinking like a scientist benefit you personally?  With a few hours of lively discussion, I hope to answer these questions and cook up some food for thought.
