Earthquake Hazard Workshop for Teachers

Did you know that California has over 50 earthquakes per day and that Los Angeles and San Francisco are getting closer to each other every year (at about the rate that your fingernail grows)?

Join us for this 4-hour workshop and learn about plate tectonics, seismic waves, earthquake magnitude & intensity, earthquake hazards, and ShakeAlert the new earthquake early warning system for the West Coast! All participants will take home classroom ready demonstrations, activities, and other resources. Loaded with STEM and NGSS connections.
