Lab and Lunch: Tides of Change

With every incoming tide, the character of San Francisco Bay changes. Twice a day, ocean currents flood into the estuary, bringing cold salty water and marine organisms to mingle with the fresh water coming from rivers and streams. Kate Hewett, an oceanographer from Bodega Marine Lab, will discuss how environmental monitoring helps scientists study the relationship between the ocean and Bay, and how both might be affected by climate change
