Black Oystercatchers and Sea Level Rise

Black Oystercatchers face a range of environmental and anthropogenic threats. As the coastline changes, even minor shifts to the sea level can significantly affect the rocky intertidal zone and diminish their remaining habitat.

Lauren Clor (CSU Monterey Bay) will describe how remote sensing and elevation models can be used to quantify the climate resilience for the Black Oystercatchers, which ones face the highest risk and what that means for conservation priorities in the coming years.
