Dynamical Demographics of Exoplanet Systems

The census of confirmed exoplanets has grown to the thousands, with nearly all known systems demonstrating fundamental properties distinct from those of the solar system. We have entered an era of population-level planetary system characterization - yet the demographics of planetary systems are not static. Instead, they are subject to dynamic processes that shape orbital distributions across systems’ full life cycles, with clues to the prevalence and diversity of these processes encoded in exoplanets’ observed orbital configurations. In this talk, I will share recent advances in our understanding of 3D orbital architectures across classes of exoplanet systems. I will discuss the relationship between modern observational constraints and theoretical implications for exoplanet-hosting single-star and binary star systems, as well as prospects for future advancements with ground- and space-based surveys.
