Astronomy on Tap San Francisco

Local astronomers talking about stars, planets, and the universe at your neighborhood bar. No PhD required.

Tickets here.

Astronomy on Tap is is a free public lecture series where astronomers give short, laid-back talks over drinks at local bars. No background in science required - our scientists share cool stuff about space while the audience sits back and relaxes, with plenty of time to indulge their curiosity and ask whatever questions they want.

This month, we’re hosting:

Nick Rodd (LBL) - The Latest in the Search for Dark Matter

and

Seth Shostak (SETI Institute) - Are We Alone in the Universe?

Rodd is a Divisional Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley Lab and former faculty member at CERN. Shostak is the senior astronomer for the SETI Institute
