Moon Grazer: Partial Lunar Eclipse Viewing

Come out to Chabot's observatory deck on the morning of Saturday, June 26thto watch a Partial Lunar Eclipse (weather permitting). For free access to the observatory deck, and a peak at the eclipse through our 8-inch telescope, Leah, walk up the back road behind Chabot and enter through the black gate on the walkway. The umbral phase of the eclipse will begin at 3:17am, with mid eclipse (maximum coverage of Moon by Earth's shadow) at 4:38am. The eclipse will end shortly after sunrise - so you can watch the spectacle until dawn!
