Educating Skeptically

Contemporary skepticism is characterized by a questioning mindset, a rejection of credulity, and embracing the scientific outlook as an epistemological lens through which we can best understand the world. How is this worldview shaped, and what role should our education system assume in cultivating a rational citizenry that can critically evaluate the barrage of claims it faces at every turn? And what happens when it fails? We'll tackle these issues and explore ways that kids can learn to apply healthy doses of skepticism to everything from cereal box claims to sleepover séances.
