Passport to Science: Outdoor Science: San Andreas Fault (First Session) SOLD OUT

Passport to Science Day highlights the incredible science resources in the Bay Area by offering a series of tours, hikes and active explorations. Over 15 tours are offered on Sunday, October, 28th, designed uncover those hidden gems.  Come out for a unique, fun and educational glimpse into the scientific wonders in the Bay Area!

FOR EVENTS THAT REQUIRE REGISTRATION/RESERVATION: Space limited, so please only sign up for one event on the Passport to Science Day

Join George Hilley, Stanford Professor of Geological and Environmental Sciences, and docents Paul Billig, Mike Alexander, and John Wertzler from the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District for a leisurely hike in the Los Trancos Preserve to examine remnants left by thousands of major earthquakes, discuss the wonders of plate tectonics and learn how to prepare for future earthquakes.
