Marine Science Sunday - Mahalo: Meet the Hawaiian Monk Seal

The Hawaiian monk seal is the most endangered seal or sea lion in the United States. With a population of only 1,100 and declining dramatically each year, we may be the last generation to see and experience this magnificent animal. This month we celebrate Endangered Species Day with Mahalo: Meet the Hawaiian Monk Seal in a fun, educational way for both kids and adults. We recommend teaming our free classroom programs at 12pm and 2pm with a Docent-led tour at 11am, 1pm or 3pm for a truly immersive marine mammal experience.
