Cities, companies and schools are challenged by how they can be more sustainable and reduce their environmental impacts.  Stanford University is a leader in sustainability innovation. Fahmida Ahmed, the Associate Director of the Department of Sustainability and Energy Management at Stanford, will speak about Sustainable Stanford initiatives and its many infrastructural and behavioral programs on campus – designed and implemented to reduce their environmental footprint, save resources and create community engagement. What are the challenges a large campus like Stanford faces?  How do operations and academia work together?  What role do students play in keeping sustainability in the forefront? How does Stanford stay ahead in sustainability, and what are the methods and tools used?
