It's Electric Nightlife
The San Francisco Electronic Music Festival takes over NightLife with performances by LA-based live electronic duo Lucky Dragons, plus water-inspired works by Mills College's Maggi Payne in the coral reef gallery, and hands-on interactive presentations by instrument designers Donald Swearingen and Cheryl Leonard.
Synthesizer user group I/O Music Technology will be on-hand to teach you how to use modular synthesizers. Plus, learn what makes bioluminescent worms glow from Academy expert Chrissy Piotrowski.
In the planetarium, catch a special screening of the math-meets-music show Chaos and Order, followed by showings of Earthquake.
