Comet ISON Observation
In our attempt to view Comet ISON, join us in the early morning to look through telescopes and see if we can witness the "comet of the century."
Comets are a beautiful sight to see in the sky, and are also notoriously unpredictable. This means that astronomers can't predict how well we'll be able to see them on a given night, but we can still learn about them. Come make your own comet models and learn about these flying balls of ice and snow in our Planetarium.
*Please note that the alternative viewing will be on Saturday, November 16 (should Saturday, November 9, have poor weather). If Comet ISON is extremely bright, we'll hold an additional observation session on November 16.
