Halloween at the Exploratorium: Den of Ghoulish Delights

Take Halloween beyond candy and costumes into the realm of the curious and the captivating. To celebrate this favorite San Francisco holiday, the Exploratorium is creating two events that honor and demystify Halloween-related creatures and cultural traditions. From spiders and snakes to sugar skulls and mad science experiments, it's a fun way for both children and adults to enjoy the fun, and occasionally dark, aspects of this venerable holiday.

Bring your family for a wide array of creepy fun at the Family Halloween event on Sunday, October 27. Get in touch with carnivorous plants, make sugar skulls, encounter blood sucking leeches with the AORN nurses association, and interact with Dangerous Puppets. While everyone can learn at the cemetery of dead science, children will find fun in watching 16mm cartoons accompanied by live accordion music.
