David Blackburn is a curator of amphibians and reptiles in the Institute for Biodiversity Science and Sustainability at the California Academy of Sciences. He specializes in studying the diversity, evolution, and conservation of amphibians, especially frogs.

Working with colleagues and students around the world, Dave's current work focuses on the evolution and conservation of Central African frogs. Dave will discuss his recent work on amphibians both regionally and internationally, including from his recent trip to Cameroon earlier this year.
