Shark Day!

MSI loves sharks! Our special Shark Day invites one and all to learn about these amazing creatures, from the Great Whites that swim just off our ocean shores, to the gentle Leopard Sharks that are common in our Bay.

For 420 million years, sharks have roamed the world's seas. Join us in learning how these amazing creatures have shaped and reshaped themselves, and the world around them.

Take your inspiration further with shark crafts, which you can work on while we learn about sharks - and are especially enjoyed by the younger crowds.

Some of the time will also be spent in our teaching aquarium - filled with Bay and marine organisms. This is also a temporary home to several local leopard sharks, which we will have a chance to touch and feed!
