Just Twelve Men
Throughout all of human history, only twelve people have ever walked on the Moon-one of the smallest explorers' clubs ever. Who were these twelve, and how were they chosen? The expected factors such as experience, skill, and seniority did play a role. But so too did unexpected medical conditions, office politics, hardware issues, and stark fate, such as colleagues and competitors being killed. Come and hear the stories of the Apollo astronauts and their amazing landings on the Moon. Dr. Erıc Wegryn wants to remind us of the acme of space exploration, and inspire the next generation of explorers. Which of our students will be the lucky thirteenth human to set foot on the moon?
