Comets and Nebulae: A New Research Tool to Study Them

I have developed a new concept tunable spatial heterodyne spectrometer for broadband observation of diffuse emission line targets. I shall discuss the instrument, my design and implementation, and my observations so far using the 3-meter Shane telescope at Lick Observatory.
