Lightbeam: Illuminating Online Tracking

In this talk, Monica Chew and Garrett Robinson give a brief overview of the tracking landscape and discuss tracking techniques and their attendant privacy concerns. They will demonstrate Lightbeam, a Firefox add-on, and show how it visualizes hidden relationships between the site you visit and tracking domains. They will then discuss future improvements to Lightbeam and ways to preserve online privacy. Audience members are invited to bring their questions and their laptops!
