HARNESSING TECHNOLOGIES THAT ENABLE THE FUTURE

Dr. Washington will present an overview of capabilities and activities at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC). He will cover their broad base of expertise across numerous technology portfolios. The ATC is actively supporting many Space Systems programs in a variety of ways, ranging from leading payload development efforts to solving critical problems that arise on demanding time schedules. Ken will share a few examples of these key roles that the ATC plays for the company. He will also describe some of the ATC programs that support other business areas that are less well known. Ken will also summarize the ATC's robust customer-funded R&D portfolio in space science, laser radar, advanced materials, ground-based space situational awareness, and payload technologies. Finally, he will tie it all together by describing the ATC business model for how these activities and the ATC world-class R&D facilities all fit together to sustain their technology base to provide the technology foundation of the LM Space Systems business.
