Angel Azul- science and art in the preservation of coral reefs
Watch a screening of Angel Azul in the Bay Theater at PIER 39 in San Francisco as part of Aquarium of the Bay's Film and Lecture series.
Dr. Sylvia Earle will be joining Angel Azul Director, Marcy Cravat, for a presentation of the film and discussion with Bay Institute Director of the Ocean Program, Brian Baird, at the Aquarium of the Bay at Pier 39 in San Francisco! "Her Deepness" will delve into her life's work to conserve coral reefs worldwide and take questions following the program in the Bay Theater.
Angel Azul is a documentary film that tells the story of one artist's inspiring attempt to draw attention to the perilous situation coral reefs currently face worldwide. Through the hauntingly beautiful lure of an eco-sculptor's underwater life-like statues, we witness the birth of an artificial coral reef, learn how we are all inextricably connected to the ocean and how the choices we make today will determine what we leave to future generations.
