Women's Enviornmental Network: Networking & Talk on Wildlife Conservation with Shermin de Silva
The Women's Environmental Network is hosting an event with networking and a talk on the topic of wildlife conservation with a focus on Asian elephants in Sri Lanka. The esteemed speaker, Shermin de Silva, is the president of Trunks and Leaves, a nonprofit that seeks to promote the conservation of wild Asian elephants and numerous species that share their habitat through science and education in elephant range countries and abroad. Dr. de Silva was recently featured in the BBC documentary "Sri Lanka, Elephant Island." She is currently a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Colorado State University.
