A mashup of Halloween and makers, celebrating community-made arcade games, with free trick-or-treating and a food drive. Part of the Bay Area Science Festival.
This event is the perfect mix of technology, creativity and Halloween celebration.
Marin maker groups will create large game/activities for trick-or-treaters to play, including a large-scale Rube-Goldberg style candy delivery system triggered by a can of food, and a wizard-themed experience set in an ancient castle, zapping ghosts and other spooky monsters with your light up magic wands!
Participants who made arcade games during Cardboard Challenge at the Greenbrae Mini Maker Faire are invited to return to display and operate their games during Halloween Bash, with proceeds going to the Imagination Foundation and the Marin Food Bank.
Participating Maker Groups include:
Marin Maker Space
White Hill Middle School
The Marin School
SR Clubhouse
Games include a large-scale rube-goldberg style candy delivery system triggered by a can of food; games are encouraged to integrate technology such as arduino, 3D printed components, etc.
