Our speakers will be Paul Valva and Dr. Peter Joseph of The Climate Reality Project.   Paul will give a summary of The Climate Reality Project and Peter will give a talk entitled "The Little Engine That Could: Carbon Fee and Dividend. Harnessing the economy to fight climate change".

In 2006 Paul was trained by Al Gore as part of The Climate Reality Project to educate the public about global warming.  Paul served as District Manager for TCRP for Northern California for four years before turning over the DM role to tonight's other speaker, Dr. Joseph.  Paul has traveled extensively around the world and experienced the damaging effects of climate change on every continent, including Antarctica and most recently Svalbard Islands near the North Pole.

Dr. Joseph is group leader of the Marin County chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby and co-author of the winning proposal at this year's MIT Climate CoLab contest for a US Carbon Price. He will elaborate on how a simple carbon fee with full revenue return to US households can both stimulate the economy and drive down carbon emissions using market mechanisms.
