The Social and Economic Impact of Climate Change
Climate change represents a major global environmental challenge, but we are only beginning to understand how changes in climate might affect social and economic outcomes. In this talk, Dr. Marshall Burke summarizes a new body of evidence describing how a range of social and economic outcomes are shaped by changes in climate. Dr. Burke will provide new empirical evidence that warmer temperatures make societies both poorer and less peaceful, and discuss what implications this holds for both business and policy.
