Secrets of the Sleeping Brain
We all know that sleep is essential, but after years of scientific research, we still don't know exactly why. Wonderfest and Ask a Scientist join us for an eye-opening discussion on sleep. Dr. Matthew Walker, associate professor of psychology at UC Berkeley's Sleep and Neuroimaging Laboratory, presents cutting-edge discoveries suggesting that sleep is a highly active process, essential for improving brain functions including learning, memory, creativity, and emotional regulation. This event is presented in partnership with Chabot Space & Science Center, Wonderfest, the Bay Area Beacon of Science, and Ask A Scientist.
