Plankton Soup Workshop

Sometimes it is the little things that count... like Plankton! Spend the morning learning about, collecting, and viewing live plankton! Participants will enjoy a short presentation, deploy a plankton net to gather a concentrated sample of plankton from our dock, and take a closer look on our 10' projector screen in the Marine Science Center at these amazing creatures. We will discuss what types of organisms plankton are and how important plankton is to the food web in the San Francisco Bay. The day is finished off with a take home craft.
