Mayan Mathematics, Astronomy, and Calendrics

We will ask the questions of how and why did the Mayans create great calenders by exploring: Mayan mathematics, Mayan astronomy, how the Mayan viewed the universe, and how the Mayan calender worked. Talk by Christian Heavner.

There will be a free public stargazing event at the Montgomery Hill Observatory after the talk during 9 pm - 11 pm.
