Looking at Palms

Arecaceae is one of the most striking plant family due to its extraordinary and unique biology as well as its extreme usefulness to humankind. This presentation will be an overview of the different aspects of palm biology and architecture, as well as an occasion to focus on some of the members of the family and evoke few historical figures who participated in the knowledge and appreciation of this very diverse group.
