An Exascale Address Space (Unified Name Server and Protection Domains)

Bill Demmer (VP at Digital Equipment) once said, "It's the addressing capability that has probably been, over history, the major driving force behind new computer architecture. It's what initially brought about the whole notion of the VAX computer." This presentation will present a framework for a 128-bit address space. The address space is NOT FLAT, and specifies various domain based addressing and protection mechanisms. There will also be comparisons with capability based addressing approaches.
