CRYPTO SUCCESSES AND FAILURES IN WW2 AND APPLICATIONS TO INFOSEC TODAY
This talk will review successes and failures of cryptography of WW2 and the past to enable us to apply the lessons today. The Nazis believed that Enigma was too difficult for the Allies to decrypt. Can we learn how to avoid and prevent similar problems (MtGox, ATMs on Internet, Enron, Advanced Fee Fraud, etc.) in the future?
