BASF - Aero Design Challenge

The Aero Design Challenge introduces students to the engineering design process with a series of Museum-based, aerodynamics-themed inspiration experiences, then launches them into a mission to design, test, and present a prototype of an engineering vehicle designed to meet a specific design requirement.
This year's program theme explores the aerodynamics of propellers. The exploration experience will include discovery stations throughout the Museum, including propeller evaluation, wind tunnel testing, flight simulation and more. Participants will then design, build and test a propeller of their own design able to provide sufficient thrust to propel a test vehicle across a designated distance.
