BASF - Explorer Days – Blue Oaks and the Blue Skies of October

Be one of the first to discover Save Mount Diablo's newest property, Hanson Hills, where blue oak ridges meet miles of sky and pathways in all directions lead towards other parks and preserves. A short distance away from its entrance on busy Marsh Creek Road, you will enter a quiet secluded narrow canyon by a streambed that will lead you to living postcard views of Mount Diablo you have never seen before.
Join us for a short, steep tour of Hanson Hills (2.5 miles with 800 ft elevation gain/loss), only a hop, skip and a jump away from the East Bay Regional Park District's new Deer Valley Regional Preserve. Bring water, snacks, a hat and sun screen, dress in layers, and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
